New Addition
We are really sorry for such the long delay between blogs. It has been a very busy month. Especially today. We would like to welcome our newest member of our young family... Alena Liz Castaneda. Born 8 lbs 2 oz and 20 inches in length. She was born as the St. Alphonsus Hospital. Mom is doing really well and the delivery went really well and pretty quick. Baby Alena has so far been pretty melo but is a little stubborn.
Anyway, we wanted to upload the photos but the server is not working right. Will upload as soon as we can!

Some Great B-days
So in the last couple of days, Jessica and Aunna were invited to a couple of birthdays and had a lot of fun. Aunna got to enjoy to play with other kids around her age at the first party and Jessica's that she behaved for the most part :).
The following day, they were off to another of our friends birthday parties at a bowling party! I think Aunna was starting to think this should be a daily thing. Jessica says that the get together was great and Aunna really had fun with bowling her own ball down the lane. I think she kinda surprised some people with her to wanting to carry her own bowling ball. I guess she even got close to getting a strike which just about the same skill set that dad is at.
Anyway after two gatherings in two days, it was nice to be home for a little bit. Aunna was evening helping me with my homework although I don't think she really knew how to solve the math problem. Jessica thought that it was cute and took a picture. While taking pictures we also thought it would be nice to take a picture of our dogs to though Baloo was the only one who felt like being camera friendly, oh well.

Busy Day
Aunna has been having a pretty busy for the day. She got to spend some part of the morning going to the library kids event and play princess and make a crown even. After the fun there and with some of the friends, she got to come home to see one of her cousins, Baby Mikeal! Top that off with two of her favorit Tia's and some chicken nugget and it's a pretty good day.
As for mom, she got to go all over the place with her while dad pretty much slept for 12 hours since yesterday trying to catch up on some sleep. :)

Traffic Update
We have had a busy couple of weeks up here. Let me get you up to speed on what all the rush hour was about.
Jessica and Aunna: These two seemed to have been all over Southern AZ this past week visiting Family and friends. Aunna had had a blast with Grandma and Papa. I think she actually forgot about her own dad. ...Yeah, right. Everytime Dad would call Mommy's Cell phone, Aunna was the one picking it up 20% of the time. Could only understand a few words (Probably was running from mommy, You can't talk much when on the run). Mom in the meantime, got to catch up with several friends and family and sounds like they had a great time.
Adrian: This one was more of a mess. Between school and work, there wasn't much memory of what day was what after a little bit. Starting to get attached to coffee :).
Here are a couple of pics from the girls trip. Hopefully we all will be down again in December!

I Love what's her name...
Well, this is not much to write about but I just thought that I would share it anyway. Jessica and I have been cleaning out some old files and paper junk the past couple of days. Through the sorting, I found this old button that says "I love What's her name". A little odd until you get to know the story.
One evening after our wednesday night meeting, several of the friends had gone to a starbucks in phoenix for a small get together. Sometimes it was the only time we got to see any of them. Well one night Jessica and I had come with a friend from out of town (Jessica and I were just dating at the time). All the friends had sat around in this great big circle and I started from one point of the circle and introduced our friend to all of them. I was doing great naming everyone around the circle until I got to the last person...Jessica. For some strange reason, my brain decided to hit the stop button and just left me hanging there with no hope of recovery. Everyone got a big kick out of it (including Jessica thankfully).
So a week or two passes by and I figured everyone had forgotten about my foot in mouth situation. Yeah, not with our friends. After a get together at a Red Robin, I got out to my car and find out someone had borrowed my keys and placed the pin right on the passenger seat. It makes me chuckle still on where they got this pin. I can't remember how but I think I found out the culprit was someone with the initials Melissa E. (at least that is what her initials are now) :). Anyway, I kept that pin in the car for quite a while and eventually thought I lost it. I'll have to find a good place to save it. Right, uh, er, honey?

Pictures from Chris and Arian's Wedding
I finally got around to uploading the wedding pictures and sorting them. Unfortunately, not many of our shots came out as good as we had hoped. One of the photos I think even Aunna took (The one with the flowers on the table).

All in a Day's Work
Tuesday, August 12, 2008
Since Jessica and I figured that we are not always very good at keeping up on how everyone else is doing or how we are doing maybe a blog would help. Hopefully we will be able to update our blog often and show some great pics.
Just a couple of weeks ago we went up to Chris and Ariana's Wedding in Washington. It was great to go to the wedding and see Chris again. I'll have to upload a few pics when we get the chance. I have to admit, our pictures didn't turn out as well. Our camera has seemed to have a mind of its own lately with the auto focus.
We had a fun time just trying to get there. Jessica picked me up from work at 6:30 AM and we drove up just past Portland, OR arriving around 3:10 PM at the hotel (I was amazed at how well Aunna took the drive). We probably could have made it a little quicker but I-84 was going through road reconstruction from Idaho to Portland...fun. The wedding was a 4 PM leaving us with not too much time to unpack. We showered, changed, and made it to the wedding about 5 minutes after the ceremony started. We might have made it on time if I didn't forget the map with the instructions, oops . Anyway, it was great getting to meet all the friends in the area and the dinner reception was pretty cool.
Since we were in Washington, we decided to make a little vacation out of the trip and headed to the beach for a couple of days. Below are some pics along with some of the friends whom Jessica has known from Arizona. Eleven kids and a bon fire...it was great! Who knows, maybe we could do it again next year!
